Purple Bean meets Katha & Krafts on Facebook Live: link.
I did a Facebook Live session with the lovely Kshamatha at Katha & Krafts. I read The Mango Tree, interacted with a young reader and answered some of my friend's questions about The Purple Bean.
Some of the things the little host and I spoke about (20:40): Why did you name the character Venkat? Does Venkat really like mangoes? Why did you name your website "Purple Bean"? She seemed to like my answers except for the fact that I've only written ten stories :-)
My friend and I also talked (29:40) about the need for an Indian context to our stories and learning more about our history and culture and how we can integrate this learning into stories.
